The Role:

Mobility Global is looking for a Gen AI Data Engineer who will be part of our Data Science and GenAI team. This is a hybrid role 50% GenAI engineering and 50% Data Engineering/Data Science ideal for a candidate who is highly motivated and goal-oriented, with an encouraging attitude toward working in a dynamic environment alongside a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams.

As a Gen AI Data Engineer at Mobility Global, you will slice and dice data, analyze information, communicate your findings, build GenAI pipelines, and collaborate on product development. You will equally contribute to robust data engineering foundations and cutting-edge generative AI application development. The outcome of your work will serve multiple business purposes from commercialized software solution development and driving internal business decisions to consulting external clients.

Responsibilities:

GenAI Engineering (50%)

- Design, build, and maintain GenAI/LLM data pipelines and applications

- Build agentic frameworks using GenAI technologies

- Implement and optimize RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures

- Stay updated with the latest GenAI industry trends, models, and frameworks

- Develop and utilize algorithms to perform error analysis to improve model uniformity and accuracy

- Collaborate closely with machine learning engineers in deploying and commercializing analytical models into production

Data Engineering / Data Science (50%)

- Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture

- Assemble large, complex datasets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python-based applications and data workflows

- Experience accessing and manipulating data in SQL and NoSQL database environments

- Apply statistical techniques, data mining, and ML methodologies to drive insights

- Write clean, scalable, and efficient code across the full data lifecycle

- Comfort working in a research-oriented team with multiple parallel projects

Cross-functional

- Maintain strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development

- Work closely with software developers, data scientists, and ML engineers

- Effectively communicate findings, architectures, and solutions to management, engineering teams, clients, and other stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

- 4+ years of professional experience in a data engineering, data science, or GenAI engineering role

- 4+ years of Python programming experience

- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a quantitative field: Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, or equivalent

- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining data pipelines in production environments

- Proficiency with data mining, probability theory, statistical techniques, ML, and data pipeline design

- Proven hands-on experience with GenAI/LLM-based systems or applications

- Experience accessing and manipulating data in SQL database environments

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to effectively communicate with management, engineering teams, clients, and other stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with GenAI frameworks including LangChain and LangGraph

- Familiarity with RAG approaches and practical implementation experience

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)

- Knowledge of deep learning and related toolkits (PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.)

- Experience with orchestration and workflow tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt, Prefect)
